It is necessary that you register to ensure your compliance with fundraising legislation. The St Vincent de Paul Society is legally required to approve and authorise all volunteer fundraising activities. Once is approved, the Society will provide you with a letter giving you confrimation of your legal authority to fundraise on behalf of the Society. This is issued following receipt and approval of your fundraising application form. Please note that will not be a St Vincent de Paul Society event, rather it is an event to raise funds for donation to the St Vincent de Paul Society. If you would like to use the St Vincent de Paul Society logo on any promotional materials, you must obtain prior written approval from the Society. The event will be coordinated and managed in the name of the fundraiser listed on the authorisation form who will be solely responsible for the activity. The fundraiser, not St Vincent de Paul Society, will be responsible for the event, finances, prizes, publicity and/or goods and services required to run the activity. Where possible, support and advice will be offered to help the fundraiser organise and run the event. If you take photos of people from, it is your responsibility to obtain prior written approval from the person/s or their parents/guardians in the photographs to publish them publicly via any media channel. It is also your responsibility to keep the written consent records on file. St Vincent de Paul Society is unable to provide public liability insurance cover for fundraisers/participants. You should consider insurance for your School Sleepout in order to ensure that you and the participants are protected. We suggest that you find a suitable venue which is already covered by public liability insurance. Your obligations as a fundraiser/participant: 1. You have read St Vincent de Paul Society's Fundraising Terms & Conditions and agree to conduct your fundraising event in accordance with these terms and in a manner which upholds the integrity, professionalism and values of St Vincent de Paul Society. 2. You acknowledge that you participate at your own risk and that you are not, to the best of your knowledge, suffering from a condition which would prevent and/or render you unfit to participate in the Event. You agree to take all reasonable measures to protect yourself from the risks of participation. 3. You understand that you cannot make a claim against St Vincent de Paul Society for any damage, loss or injury arising at or from the fundraising event outlined in this agreement Terms & Conditions. 4. You understand that St Vincent de Paul Society reserves the right to withdraw approval for the fundraiser at any time if there is a likelihood that the event fails to adhere to any of St Vincent de Paul Society's Terms & Conditions. St Vincent de Paul Society will notify the fundraiser of the breach of the Terms & Conditions and give the fundraiser the opportunity to rectify the breach within 5 working days. 5. You acknowledge and understand this event is a serious event and not a party. This event will be alcohol and drug free. 6. You agree to not invite any unregistered guests to attend this event. 7. You acknowledge responsibility for your own belongings and valuables on the night. 8. You agree not to leave the designated venue for the duration of the event. 9. You will obtain sponsorship on behalf of the St Vincent de Paul Society to assist us in helping to support the homeless in our community. |
These Terms must be read together with any Terms and Conditions specific to a particular event (Event Terms) which are located on the fundraising page for that event. If there is any conflict between these Terms and any Event Terms, then these Terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
